SAFETY OFFICER & MANAGER TRAINING COURSES

You need properly trained people to comply with requirements of the Act (sections 7-14). Additional legal penalties apply for failure to properly involve workplace staff (section 52)

This training course provides essential training for Safety Officers in NZ. The course takes about 3-4 hours in seminar/s plus about 1-2 hours workshops. The tests (3) take about one hour each. All participants that achieve a pass are awarded a Safety Officer Certificate. The Certificate is valid for 3 years from issue date.

- HOW TO DO PRIORITY RATING & IMPLEMENT REMEDY

- HOW TO PREPARE SAFE WORK PROCEDURES

- WORKSHOP ON COST BENEFIT & SAFE WORK PROCEDURES

- HOW TO DO ACCIDENT RESPONSE AND REPORTING

- ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS PROCEDURES

- HOW TO INTRODUCE NEW PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

- HOW TO INTRODUCE NEW ACTIVITIES OR PROCEDURES

- WORKSHOP ON HOW TO INDUCT AND TRAIN STAFF

- INTERMEDIATE AND INTENSIVE SAFETY TRAINING

This training course is really good value at $245 + GST for each participant (for a group of 3-4). A reduction to $200 + GST applies for 5 or more. All course material required, is provided in the training manual. Some ITOs provide subsidy.
