Jon is our senior consultant (Health & Safety). He has been with us since our
conception in 1989.
Jon has a large degree of experience with Local Government, being with the Carterton
District Council for 12 years. During that time he spent 4 .5 years as a councillor
representing the Urban Ward on the Administration, Works & Services, Resource
Management and Recreational Services Committees.
He was also a Council representative on the Carterton District Community Trust,
Cobblestones Museum Trust, and Wellington Region Environmental Agency.
Jon's longest job was with the New Zealand Army for 16 years in the Signals Corps. Jon's
specialist field was Electronic Interception and Analysis. He finished his Army career at
the School Of Signals in Waiouru as Course Manager and Instructor to the Officer Cadet
Training Unit.
Jon is a long-standing member of the Freemasons and is a member of the Greytown-St Marks
Lodge No.53 of Carterton. He attained the rank of Senior Warden before shifting to
TARANAKI.
Jon's other interests include Family, Photography, Water Technology, Golf and
Environmental issues.
Sherryn has also been with us since 1989 and is in the less known field of HANDCRAFTS.
Sherryn is our senior consultant for knitting, crochet and embroidery and cross-stitch.
She specialises in teaching those that are left-handed as she feels that they are the ones
that are LEFT out of main stream teaching in these areas.
Sherryn has worked with the New Zealand Railways, Headquarters Ministry of Defence and is
a past secretary of the Carterton Country Women's Institute but feels more at home in the
relaxed environment of consultancy and one on one tuition.
Sherryn is involved with T.A.L.E.T.S., a voluntary organisation that assists adults with
educational deficiencies (e.g. poor readers or writers). Sherryn regularly assists in the
classroom of the local primary school and is currently studying by correspondence to
become a teachers aide.
Sherryn's other interests include family, sewing and handcrafts such as wall hangings.
